Our First Appointment

Tuesday was our first Baby doctor visit and it was amazing! We had to wait a really long time but it was so worth it. The doctor we are seeing is a one man show. Meaning that he does not work with any other doctors and so he will be the one to deliver my baby. I love that we can form a relationship with him and know that when the time comes he will be there. He is a young guy that kind of reminds me of McDreamy from Grays. He wears scrubs and converse tennis shoes. He is a great combination of doctor and midwife all in one. He is super personable and spends time to really get to know his patients. The reason why we chose him is because he delivered Frank's niece Juliana and I was there for the delivery. He was the most calm, patient man I could have imagined. After she was born I looked at him and said, "you are going to deliver my babies." The funny thing is when we met with him he remember that I said that to him. I had actually forgotten. It is really important to me to work with someone who has a holistic view of child birth. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying that I am going to deliver without drugs but I want someone who does not want to send me in for a c-section just because things are taking too long and he has somewhere to be. I also am not a big believer in the need for episiotomy's and think they are ways to avoid them. The last time my doctor did an episiotomy was 6 years ago and he rarely does c-sections. He is not everyone's cup of tea but for us he is perfect.

So the ultra sound just blew my mind. I cannot believe that that little baby is inside of me. Just flipping around and doing it's little thing. I am starting to believe that I am pregnant but it is still hard for me to comprehend. Here are some pictures of our little bambino. I think these are kind of boring to see but people have asked me to post them.
